Webwatch: KW 38/2013

Seit gestern hat die dritte Jahreszeit nun offiziell den "Sommer" beendet und lädt ein, die Hardwareausstattung des eigenen Rechenknechts zu verbessern. Nicht nur, dass wir wie (fast) jede Woche euch viele Anregungen in Form eines Webwatches geben wollen, nein wir versorgen euch auch gerne dann und wann mit den neusten Gerichten aus der Gerüchteküche. Doch diese Woche hat das Ganze ein Ende, denn AMD stellt am 25. September die neuste Grafikkartengeneration vor. Mit ihr wird ein "special product" erwartet, wovon noch keiner so recht weiß, was die Presseabteilung von AMD damit meinen könnte. Licht ins Dunkel soll der Webcast ab 21 Uhr deutscher Zeit bei AMD, auf Facebook oder Youtube bringen, den wir allen Hardware-begeisterten gerne empfehlen!

• Lamptron Fan Controller FC5 V3, Lüftersteuerung, Artikel auf Ocaholic.
  Auszug: Mit dem FC5 V3 bring Lamptron einen neuen high-end Fancontroller auf den Mark. Dieser verfügt über ein wohl dimensioniertes LCD Display und sechs Kanäle, die jeweils mit bis zu 30 Watt belastet werden können. Zudem findet man ein sauberes Finish vor sowie Drehknöpfe, die ein komfortables Bedienen erlauben.

• HTC Desire 500, Smartphone, Artikel auf Computerbase.
  Auszug: Mit dem Desire 500 wagt HTC den Angriff auf das mittlere Preissegment. Wir klären im Test, was das Gerät im Vergleich zu Konkurrenten wie dem Samsung S4 mini zu bieten hat.

• EVGA Supernova 1000 G2, Netzteil, Artikel auf Technic3D.
  Auszug: Technic3D hat das EVGA Supernova 1000 G2 Netzteil im Test. Mit abnehmbaren Kabeln und einer Leistung von 1000 Watt soll das 1000 G2 High-End-Systeme befeuern. Wie das Supernova im Test abschneidet, steht im nachfolgenden Review.

• ASUS H87-Pro , Mainboard, Artikel auf Hartware.
  Auszug: Das ASUS H87-Pro ist ein modernes Mainboard für Intel Haswell CPUs, aber mit dem Intel H87 statt dem High-End Z87 Chipsatz ausgestattet. Das hält den Preis niedrig. Auf wichtige moderne Features muss man hier aber nicht verzichten, sogar Overclocking mit den Core K CPUs ist möglich, obwohl der H87 Chipset das eigentlich nicht vorsieht.

• Aerocool GT-S, Gehäuse, Artikel auf Computerbase.
  Auszug: Gehäuse von Aerocool stehen für eine extravagante, auffällige Optik. Der Aerocool GT-S zum Preis von 115 Euro muss im Test allerdings auch durch seine Funktionen überzeugen.

• Asus MeMO Pad FHD 10 (LTE), Tablet, Artikel auf Computerbase.
  Auszug: Asus bietet das MeMO Pad FHD 10 in zwei Varianten an, die sich nicht nur in der LTE-Funktion unterscheiden. Wir testen beide Varianten mit Snapdragon S4 Pro und Intel Atom Z2560.

• ASUS G750J, Gaming Notebook, Artikel Ocaholic.
  Auszug: Die G-Series Gaming Notebooks von ASUS sind dafür bekannt, dass sie über ordentlich Dampf unter der Haube verfügen und darüber hinaus mit einem schicken Design sowie einer äusserst angemessenen Kühlung aufwarten. Nun sind wir gespannt ob auch der neuste Ableger mit diesen Attributen aufwartet.

• Cooler Master Hyper 103, CPU-Kühler, Artikel auf Technic3D.
  Auszug: Technic3D hat den Cooler Master Hyper 103 CPU-Kühler im Test. Der Hyper 103 Kühler soll im unteren Preisgefüge präsent sein. Ob das Gesamtpaket stimmig ist, steht im folgenden Review.

• LG G2, Smartphone, Artikel auf Computerbase.
  Auszug: LG will die Nr. 2 am Smartphone-Markt werden. Das G2 soll dabei helfen. Es bietet ein neues Bedienkonzept, ein Full-HD-Display und einen SoC vom Typ Snapdragon 800.

• Scythe Mugen 4, CPU-Kühler, Artikel auf Hartware.
  Auszug: Der Scythe Mugen 4 ist ein High-End CPU-Kühler, ist mit knapp 35 Euro aber etwas günstiger als viele Konkurrenten. Im Vergleich zu den Vorgängern wurden Lamellen, Bodenplatte und Lüfter geändert. Kann der Scythe Mugen 4 so mit z.B. Thermalright, Alpenföhn, be quiet! und Noctua mithalten?

• ASUS GeForce GTX 760 DirectCU Mini OC, Grafikkarte, Artikel Ocaholic.
  Auszug: Mit der DreictCU Mini hat ASUS die kompakteste GeForce GTX 760 Garfikkarte im Programm, die sich an MiniITX-Enthusiasten richtet. Das Konzept der Mini-Karte wurde zum ersten Mal mit der mit der GTX 670 eingeführt und erfreut sich seitdem regen Interessens. Mit der GTX 760 Mini präsentiert ASUS an dieser Stellen einen neuen Aufguss, wobei wir gespannt sind, wie einem dieser bekommt.

• Gigabyte GTX 780 OC WindForce 3X, Grafikkarte, Artikel auf Technic3D.
  Auszug: Technic3D hat die Gigabyte GTX 780 OC WindForce 3X Grafikkarte im Test. Die aufwändige Kühlung und eine Übertaktung ab Werk sollen die Grafikkarte beflügeln. Wie die GTX 780 OC im Vergleich abschneidet, steht im folgenden Review.

• Func MS-3, Maus, Artikel Ocaholic.
  Auszug: Mit der MS-3 hat Func einen Nager im Programm, der beispielsweise über programmierbare Buttons verfügt sowie einen Sensor, der auf dem neusten Stand der Technik ist. Darüber hinaus soll diese Maus mit einer ansprechenden Software aufwarten, die eine einfache Konfiguration erlaubt. Insgesamt sind wir gespannt, wie diese Gaming Maus abschneidet.

• Scythe Mugen 4, Netzwerk/Multimedia Gehäuse, Artikel auf Hartware.
  Auszug: Das Thecus N2560 bietet Platz für 2 Festplatten und ist mit einem Intel Atom SoC CE5335 (1,6 GHz Dual-Core) und 2 GByte Arbeitsspeicher ausgestattet. Gbit-Ethernet, 2x USB 2.0, 1x USB 3.0 und HDMI-Ausgang runden das Angebot ab. Das N2560 ist mit dem neuen ThecusOS 6 ausgestattet und wird in Kürze für knapp unter 300 Euro erhältlich sein.

• Google Nexus 7 (2013), Tablet, Artikel auf Computerbase.
  Auszug: Mittlerweile ist die zweite Generation des Nexus 7 mit neuem Prozessor und höherer Auflösung in Deutschland erhältlich. Ob diese erneut zu überzeugen weiß, zeigt unser Test.

• Samsung SSD 840 Evo, SSD-Festplatte, Artikel auf Computerbase.
  Auszug: Die 840 Evo ist bereits die zweite SSD, die Samsung mit TLC-Speicherchips bestückt. Im Gegensatz zur original 840er hat Samsung bei der Evo auch am Controller gefeilt.

• ASUS PCE-AC66 802.11ac, PCIe Wifi AC Netzwerkkarte, Artikel auf Benchmark Reviews.
  Auszug: The ASUS PCE-AC66 802.11ac wireless PCIe adapter is currently the only wireless adapter I know of, that allows you to experience the wonders of 3-Stream IEEE 802.11ac Wi-Fi. It won’t be the last, for sure, because the gains in wireless throughput are too good to pass up. There are several significant changes in the new 802.11ac standard, and upping the maximum allowable number of spatial streams is one of them. Theoretically, eight individual streams are supported by 802.11ac, but the new chips from Broadcom top out at three streams on a single IC. That’s enough to push 1.3Gbps across the airwaves on the 5GHz Wi-Fi band, which is probably where the consumer devices will stay. There are several wireless adapters on the market that are capable of handling two streams, but right now the PCE-AC66 is alone at the top of the 802.11ac heap, with three streams and the data rates to match.

  Auszug: Some of the most difficult to answer questions in the enthusiast and high-end gaming PC world have to do with RAM, and more specifically with RAM clock speeds, latency, and timings. What differences do all of these make when it comes to better performance and higher frame rates in games? Typically, the answer is that they do very little when it comes to games. AMD has sought to change that answer with the release of their Richland series APUs, which are designed to take even more advantage of RAM speeds and support up to 2133MHz clock speeds. Intel’s Haswell now supports speeds of up to 1600MHz. Now that more is being done to increase the performance gain from higher RAM speeds, let’s take a look at the results. Here at Benchmark Reviews, we have a couple of new high-speed RAM kits to review. In this article, we will be taking a look at the Kingston HyperX 8GBx2 DDR3-2133 KHX21C11T3K2/16X kit.

• GAMDIAS HERMES GKB2010, Gaming Tastatur, Artikel auf Benchmark Reviews.
  Auszug: Mechanical gaming keyboards continue to pour into the market, and it is blatantly obvious that this is more than merely a passing fad. More and more companies continue to throw their hats into the ring in order to capitalize on the popularity of this gaming peripheral. Gamdias was recently established (2012) and has a singular focus, which is to "redefine the Electronic Sports (eSports) landscape for gamers worldwide."

• Raijintek Themis, CPU-Kühler, Artikel auf TechPowerUp.
  Auszug: Raijintek's Themis CPU cooler is muscling in on the competition in the budget sector. Featuring three 8 mm heatpipes, fifty-four aluminum fins, and a single 120x25 mm fan, it has some nice specs for a traditional tower-style CPU cooler, but does it have what it takes to become the new budget king?

• ASUS GTX 760 DirectCU Mini 2 GB, Grafikkarte, Artikel auf TechPowerUp.
  Auszug: The ASUS GTX 760 DirectCU Mini is an ultra-compact GTX 760, enabling you to play all the latest games with a mini-ITX system. ASUS even managed to squeeze an overclock into the tiny package. Pricing of the card is quite reasonable, with just a $20 premium over the GTX 760 reference design.

• Cooler Master V550S with 3D Circuit Design, Netzteil, Artikel auf TechPowerUp.
  Auszug: Cooler Master is taking big strides in the right direction lately, at least in terms of PSUs. They initially released the V series offering great performance at affordable prices and have now added the VS series to their arsenal. Today, we will take a look at the V550S unit with Enhance's new 3D circuit design.

• ASUS Xonar Essence STU DAC/Amp, Verstärker, Artikel auf TechPowerUp.
  Auszug: ASUS's most recent DAC/amp gets put to the test. This time, the Xonar Essence One gets a new little brother in the Essence STU. The new STU is a sleek-looking, small foot-print DAC/amp with excellent specs. We put it to the test to see how it measures up to other similar solutions!

• OCZ Vertex 450 256 GB, SSD-Festplatte, Artikel auf TechPowerUp.
  Auszug: The Vertex 450 is OCZ's replacement for their Vertex 4 and uses OCZ's own in-house Indilinx Barefoot controller. In our testing we see performance that matches the Vertex 4, at a lower price. The included TrueImage HD software makes migration easier than before, especially for less experienced users.
